Welcome to Fed Future

We apologize for any issues with the website, specifically with payband, WG, and SES users. We are working on solving the issue as quickly as possible. For these issues, or any others you run into, using the contact form to let us know what you're experiencing would be very helpful.

Fed Future provides estimates of salary, retirement annuity, and TSP balance based on projected future increases, defined by the user.

Users can customize future predictions to simulate different scenarios, including potential grade increases, different TSP/Annual raise rates, and how they impact their retirement estimates.

DOD Users: I would appreciate any feedback you can provide about if/how well the tool works with your pay system. I treated rank as the "grade" and years in rank as "step" to try to make it work. It should include 2% per year of service.

USPS Users: I attempted to add some pay tables, but I don't know if they are usable. If you provide feedback I will be happy to try to improve the functionality for postal users.

Included Tables: General Schedule, LEO, 2210 SSR, Special Salary Rates, Title 38 Nurses, PAs, and Special Rates, DoD Cyber, Court Personnel, and Foreign service

SES and Payband Users: Use Grade 1 Step 1 on the first page, and then enter your current salary when prompted. The tool will increase your salary through retirement by the average annual raise percentage. I put in a page to manually alter your yearly salaries to account for other increases.

Future Assumptions/Estimates:

*Annual Increase to TSP (401k) Contribution Limits - 2.2% based on average increase since 1998.

You should adjust the average TSP return to match your expectations of your TSP funds.

*****This is not financial advice, and I am not a financial advisor. These are the tools I've created over the years, modified to work for other feds.
